Volunteer Information
Thank you! All our volunteer positions have been filled.
The Royal Ottawa Golf Club is pleased to host the RCGA 2010 Canadian Men's Mid-Amateur Championship and the 156 golfers who will be participating.
As always, an event such as this relies heavily on the dedication and commitment of volunteers.
Whether you are a golfer yourself or an interested bystander, we have many volunteer positions covering all aspects of the tournament: On course we will need Marshals, Forecaddies, Walking Scorers and Standard Bearers; we'll also require help at the driving range and in the Clubhouse meeting and greeting golfers from across the country. Before or after your shift you will be able to watch some high caliber golf.
Volunteers are required Monday through Friday of tournament week, August 16-20; there will be early morning shifts as well as afternoon shifts. We require all volunteers to commit to at least two shifts (two days). Some positions will also require attendance at a training session.
Not all volunteer positions will be suitable for everyone; please carefully read the position descriptions on the application form.
We do have some volunteer positions suitable for junior golfers. We ask that junior golfers under the age of 18 please indicate their age on the application form.
As a volunteer you will receive a tournament shirt and hat, which you will be required to wear during your shifts.
You will be contacted by either email or phone after your application has been processed.
Thank you for volunteering.
